OppFi’s 2Q26 results weakened the near-term earnings outlook as delayed LOC and LOLA initiatives, softer originations, and consumer affordability pressure drove a sizable FY26 guidance reset, although the longer-term thesis remains intact. Revenue increased 1.9% y/y to a 2Q record $145.2M, while adjusted net income declined 27.0% to $28.8M and adjusted EPS fell to $0.33; importantly, charge-off ratios improved sequentially and expenses remained controlled. Management now expects FY26 revenue of $600M-$625M and adjusted EPS of $1.34-$1.51, but maintained its 2027/2028 expectations and roughly $3.00 EPS target for 2028. Execution around the September LOC launch, LOLA migration, and renewed origination growth should drive the nearer-term recovery, while BNCC remains the larger strategic catalyst through geographic expansion, product diversification, and lower-cost funding.
